There were plenty of stories exchanged and laughs shared over the evening, as old mates reminisced about their time at the College.
Around 100 Old Boys were welcomed back to the College on Friday night, to catch up with their class mates and commend their peers' achievements at the All Ages Reunion and Alumni Recognition Awards.
There wasn't a dull moment all evening with more than 65 years of CBC history represented at the gathering, which also served as the perfect St Patrick's Day celebration as the party gathered underneath the Celtic crosses perched on top of the College's oldest building.
The event also paid tribute to three outstanding graduates, as part of the Association's Alumni Recognition Awards.
John Hughes ('52) received the Br Patrick Kelly Leadership Award in recognition of his commitment to excellence and his support of the community.
John regaled the crowd with tales of his youth at CBC, while also stressing the important role the College played in his formation.
Dr Ryan O'Hare Doig ('07) was the recipient of the Community Award, having devoted his career to research efforts in the spinal injury community since leaving the College.
Ryan has truly embraced the College's call to reach out to the 'other', dedicating his life to help not only those with spinal cord injuries, but also raising a considerable amount of money for charities.
The Rising Star Award was presented to Luke Whelan ('06), the brains behind The Dock Wharf Bar and many other arts and entertainment ventures in Perth, in recognition of his commitment to achieving his personal best.
Luke's passion for his work has resulted in many successful endeavours, and his willingness to accept challenges is both commendable and inspiring.
