Spotlight on Drama

Year 9 students perform an original play.

CBC Fremantle thespians shone on the stage at the College's performance showcase, Dramarama in the Arts Learning Area on Friday evening.

The evening provided boys with the opportunity to put their acting skills to the test in front of a real audience, and featured an eclectic collection of performances ranging from classics to originals, and comedy to drama.

The night commenced with Year 10 boys performing Easter – What's It All About?, an original piece involving video and performance, which was written by CBC drama teacher, Ms Rosalba Jeffreys, for this year's Easter Liturgy.

The boys also performed a series of duologues and monologues, which really showed off their stage presence and vocal strength.

Year 12 students also had the chance to perform their Original Solo Performances, which later this year will make up half of their final grade.

Drama at CBC is a dynamic creative outlet for students to develop confidence and appreciation for the performing arts. The annual Dramarama showcase offers a tangible milestone towards achieving personal excellence and developing resilience to overcome challenges.
